Electronic Research Notebook
The University of Michigan is providing an Electronic Research Notebook—or ERN—for all faculty, staff, and students. Offered at no cost, the ERN is a secure, digital tool that accelerates research and allows researchers to enjoy the benefits, efficiencies, and long-term cost savings of centralized, paperless data storage. It also aids in lab management, protects Intellectual Property (IP), provides secure collaboration, and offers simple sample tracking.
The ERN is HIPAA-aligned and approved for FERPA data. See more on the Sensitive Data Guide.
